PBA Philippine Cup Finals - Realtors Bag Title
Sta. Lucia Realtors 100 - Purefoods TJ Giants 88: Dennis Espino (203-C-73) scored 22 points in the second half to help give the Realtors their first-ever Philippine Cup title. Espino finished with 29 points, including key baskets in the fourth quarter that allowed Sta. Lucia to take control of the game. Purefoods came out firing in the first 24 minutes of play to take a 46-44 lead into the break. However, the Realtors responded with tough defense in the second half to take the upper hand, 71-70, going into the final canto. Espino was named as the Finals Most Valuable Player. It is the Realtors' second championship in franchis history after winning the 2001 Governor's Cup. J. Bagulaya
