Saskatchewan welcomes back Osayande

Shane Osayande

Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL) landed 32-year old former Palestinian-Canadian international 200cm forward Shane Osayande (college: Saskatchewan) for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Rattlers as he has played here before. He played last summer at Winnipeg Sea Bears in the CEBL. In 13 games he averaged just 2.0ppg and 2.4rpg. He was a member of Palestinian Senior National Team between 2022 and 2023.
Osayande is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Osayande has played previously professionally also in Bahrain (Al-Najma), Germany (Ehingen/Urspringschule), Iceland (Haukar), Lebanon (Maristes), Portugal (Barreirense), Qatar (Al Shamal), Spain (Prat and Gijon Circulo), Venezuela (Toros), Palestine (Orthodox Club Ramallah) and Canada (Highlanders and Honey Badgers).
He played in the final of Qatari League in 2023.
Osayande graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 2017 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
