Calvin Godfrey (ex NSA) added to the roster of Al-Hashd

Calvin Godfrey

Al-Hashd Social Sports Club (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American (has also Palestinian passport) 204cm forward Calvin Godfrey (college: Memphis) for season 2024-25. He joins another USA player Brachon Griffin who is already in the roster.
He played most recently at Nadim Souaid Academy in Lebanese LBL league. In 17 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 9.8rpg (#3 in the league), 1.9apg, 2.3spg (leader !!!) and 1.5bpg last season. A very spectacular season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Defensive Player of the Year and voted to Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
He also represented Palestine at the Gulf Coast Championship Semifinals six years ago.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in thirteen different countries. Godfrey has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Riffa), Bulgaria (Balkan), Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Kosovo (Peja), Lebanon (Sagesse and Moutahed), Malaysia, Qatar (Al Arabi), Turkey (Konyaspor and Manisa), Ukraine (Budivelnyk and Khimik), Uruguay (Malvin), Czech Republic (Nymburk), Mexico (Abejas) and The Basketball Tournament (Heartfire).
He won Liga Unike championship title in 2022.
He graduated from University of Memphis in 2015 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball. Godfrey played for other colleges like: Southern University, Iowa State University.
