Osayande re-signs at Al Shamal

Al Shamal Doha (QBL) has confirmed the addition of 30-year-old Canadian-Palestinian-Canadian forward Shane Osayande (200cm-98kg-1993, college: Saskatchewan) to their roster. Osayande will join another Palestinian player, also named Shane Osayande, who is already on the team. Last season, he played for Al Shamal Doha. During the previous summer, he played for Sea Bears (CEBL) in the Canadian league, where he averaged 3.3 points per game and 5.4 rpg in 16 games.
He is a highly experienced player, having played professionally on four different continents - Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. Throughout his pro career, he has competed in nine different countries, including Bahrain (Al-Najma), Canada (Highlanders, Rattlers, and Honey Badgers), Germany (Ehingen/Urspringschule), Iceland (Haukar), Lebanon (Champville), Portugal (Barreirense), Spain (Prat and Gijon Circulo), Venezuela (Toros), and Palestine (Orthodox Club Ramallah). In 2023, he even reached the final of the Qatari League.
He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2017, and this is his seventh season as a professional player.
