Sarriyet Ramallah Champions of AlShuhada Tournament , De La Salle in 2nd Place - Aug 28, 2009
Shuhada Tournament Sponsored by Aramex and organized by Sarriyet Ramallah launched on the 31st of July with a great opening game between Sariyet Ramallah & Athletes in Action players 97 104 & ended with Sarriyet Ramallah champions after playing an exciting game against De La Salle, while Ahli Alquds ended in 3rd place & Eibal in 4th.
The tournament had real close exciting games & other unexpected results, great skill and talent were shown, and competitiveness amongst players.
The tournament had 18 teams but due to the restriction on Gaza, two teams from Gaza werent able to get to the games, hence 16 teams took part.
Round 1 had several surprises:
- RaI Saleh going strong, beating Orthodoxi Beit Jala, Eibal & Fara going on round II.
- Orthodoxi Beit Jala loosing two games against RaI Saleh and Eibal hence not going on round II.
- Ahli the only team without an import player, proved to be competitive winning all their games in Round I against strong teams such as Orthodoxi Ramallah, Hiteen and Orthodoxi Beit Sahour.
- Orthodoxi Bethlehem played strong & beat De La Salle Jerusalem (who played without 5 main players due to injury & travelling) and went on Round II
- Eibal with their strong will & skills beat Orthodoxi Bet Jala and went to Round II
- Terrasanta played well going on Round II
- Catholic Action youngest team participating
- Orthodoxi Beit Sahour & Hiteen not qualifying to Round II
Round II had real close games finishing with 2-3points difference, Eibal vs. Orthodoxi Bethlehem 72 - 70, Ahli vs. Terrasanta 88 - 86 and the most exciting game in all the tournament Sarriyet Ramallah vs. Orthodoxi Ramallah 90 87 and an easy win for De La Salle over RaI Saleh 106 83, having reinforced their team with Issa Kamel who is currently playing with AlRiyadi Jordan, Hanna Sahwani leader of De La Salle and Adel Mata a previous player of Maliah team.
Final Four Exciting games between Sarriyet Ramallah, De La Salle, Eibal, Ahli
3rd & 4th Place A very skillful competitive game between Ahli & Eibal (two main players injured) 88 83
1st & 2nd Place Sarriyet Ramallah played strong from the 1st sec till the end, not giving De la Salle a time to breath who only got back on track in the 2nd half, which was too late to win the game! 91 79

AlTadamun: Sariyet Ramallah Champions, De La Salle in 2nd place - Jul 8, 2009

After a breath taking game, Sarriyet Ramallah won the game against De La Salle 84 - 76 and were crowned champions tonight.

De La Salle vs. Orthodoxi Ramallah 87 78
A competitive game with each team leading a half both playing hard to get to the finals!
De La Salle with great team work managed to win the game although they were down a couple of times, they had great 3pointers by Ammar Nofal (190-F-84) & Justin Bourne (198-F, college: Alaska-Fairb.), and beautiful assists by Andrew.
Orthodoxi Ramallah however kept on played hard till the last second, depended on Ahmad Deebs 3pointers along with Justin Williams (193-G-86, college: Wayne Co. CC) and Ghassan Elayan shots and penetrations while Derrick Courtney (198-G/F-84) had triple double 19 points 17 rebounds 10 assists and 1 steal.
1st 23 18, 2nd 17 - 26, 3rd 32 17, 4th 15 - 19

Sariyet Ramallah vs. Orthodoxi Beit Jala 108 92
A great game with amazing skill and beautiful moves and dunks from both teams.
Sariyet Ramallah were focused and determined to win the game to play the finals, with precise 3pointers by Dante Hunter (191-G-83, agency: Low Country Sports Management, college: Calumet) along with Saleem Al Husari (184-G-85) & Ghassan Habash (175-G-85) and the undefeatable strong brothers under basket Sanni & Saleem Sakakini.
While Orthodoxi Beit Jala took their time in getting focused played an outside game through Kyle & Landen 3pointers along with Kamal Mukarker & Charlie Qattans shots with Raed Abu Rumman (188-F-81) playing hard underbasket.

SUPERLEAGUE FINISHES WITH GREAT SUCCESS IBDAA CHAMPIONS & ORTHODOXI BEIT JALA in 2nd Place - Jun 5, 2009
Ibdaa Dheisheh were crowned champions of the SuperLeague to be the only unbeatable team with a well deserved 2nd place for Orthodoxi Beit Jala after winning over strong teams like Sariyet Ramallah & De La Salle. The closing ceremony The Late George Rishmawi Tournament took place at the Catholic Action court with a dunk contest, 3points contest and an exciting game between Qalandia & De La Salle finishing the league.
Many player of different clubs took part in the contests and the results were as follows:

Awarding the Teams, Media & Players
Media were rewarded for covering the league along with all the participating teams.
A prize was given for the oldest player in the league Charlie Qattan Orthodoxi Beit Jala and the youngest player in the league Ghaleb AlHreimi Islami Bethlehem.

4th Place: Sariyet Ramallah 1000$ Award

Ibdaa Dheisheh will have a ceremony for winning the tournament in Dheisheh Camp- Bethlehem as well as the women winning the Volley Ball Tournament.

Qalandia vs. De La Salle 79 72
What an exciting game to finish up the league with! Both teams were playing hard with great defense & skills determined to win the game , Qalandia winning the game pushes them up to 5th place from 7th place, however De La Salle earned to stay in 3rd place with their points. De La Salle were focused from the first minutes of the game leading the first quarter while Qalandia took their time and led the rest of the game taking advantage of De La Salles foul trouble in the last 10seconds.
Brian Dalley stood out in the game with great shots, drives & rebounds along with Ismael Hamad and great 3pointers for Nizar Shehadeh from Qalandia. While De La Salle players didnt give up with several 3pointers especially in the 4th quarter by Ammar Nofal (190-F-84), Telly Rafidi one of the youngest players in the league, Labib Feidy (194-F-83, college: Florida Southern) with great moves under basket along with Fadi Yaghmour and Justin Bourne (198-F, college: Alaska-Fairb.) who had a great impact on the team.

Ibdaa - Champions of the Superleague & Jimmy Williams MVP - May 31, 2009 
Ibdaa vs. De La Salle 90 85
A competitive well played game from both teams showing high level of playing with great skills by local & import players. Ibdaa has proved once again to be the Champion of the Palestinian League with Zero Losses & Jimmy Williams (196-G-86, college: Alders.-Broad.) deserves to be MVP of the league.
The game was breathtaking with both teams exchanging the lead reflecting the level of the game with great teamwork, several 3pointers, strong drives & shots. De La salle were leading In the last 50seconds of the game with a great 3pointer by Ammar Nofal (190-F-84), however, two turnovers gave advantage for Ibdaa to take the lead & win the game coached by Asem Barakat, one of the best earlier leading Basketball Players of Palestine while Tony Sabella coached De La Salle, one of the known earlier basketball players of Palestine too.
Ibdaa players represented by Iyad Yousef Abdalla (205-C-80) who was unstoppable underbasket had 27 points and 9 rebounds, Jimmy Williams had great drives especially in the last seconds scoring 26points along with 8 rebounds & 3 assits, while Yahia Al Khatib (190-G-77) had 22 points from which several are smooth 3pointers as well as great 3pointers from Nader AlGlasy and great shots & defense from Munir Barakat.
De La Salle players represented by Ammar Nofal who had numerous 3pointers in the game with great timing along with Tawfiq Richard, Fadi Yaghmour with great moves under basket & rebounds along with Labib Feidy (194-F-83, college: Florida Southern) as well as Justin Bourne (198-F, college: Alaska-Fairb.) who had a good game with several 3pointers, drives & rebounds.
