DeAndre Rice

DEANDRE RICE

Al Ahli Sadab (D1) tabbed 33-year old American guard DeAndre Rice (189-85, college: Florida Atlantic). He played most recently at Al Karkh in Iraqi IBL league.
The previous (16-17) season Rice played at Al Shurtah (Superleague) in league.
In 2007 he was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in fourth round (46th overall).
Rice attended Florida Atlantic University and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he won Iraqi League championship title in 2015. Rice received also Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Honorable Mention award in 2016.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Rice experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. Rice has played previously professionally in Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli Jeddah), Syria (Al Jalaa), Tunisia (U.S.Monastir), Uruguay (Atenas), Oman (Al Nizwa) and Libya (Al Ittihad).

Manama - Seeb 85:72 Manama conquered the first victory at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup GBA Qualifiers. They topped Seeb from Oman in Group B opener. Maciej Lampe (211-C/F-85) posted 26 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Manama posted a 23:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Seeb narrowed the gap at 9-point mark at the interval. Aaron Mitchell (ex Al Nizwa) is a newcomer at Al Shamal - 4 months ago
Al Shamal Doha (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American guard Aaron Mitchell (188-86kg-89, college: Longwood). He played last summer at Al Nizwa in Omani D1 league. ANTONIO HAYMON Newly promoted Al Salam (SBL) added to their roster 30-year old American swingman Antonio Haymon (198-102kg-88, college: Lee). He is the second import player in the roster as Vincentian Akeme Smart signed here earlier. It is actually Haymon's comeback to Al-Awamiyah as he has played here before.
