Nepal Womens National Basketball team left for India

Nepal National Women Basketball Team has left for Tamil Nadu, India to participate in the All India Basketball Championship scheduled for July 25 to 30, 2014 on Monday.

The championship is organized by organized by PSG Sports Club on the occasion of their 50th Anniversary.

Nepal National Womens Basketball players comprises of Nayana Shakya, Anusha Malla, Alisha Malla, Sujata Rai, Samichin Bista, Sadina Shrestha, Gyanu Gauchan, Sneha Shrestha, Luvina Singh, Bhawana Lama, Preti Tulachan and Upama Pokhrel.

The team is accompanied by coach Bikash Shahi and manager Basanta Raj Giri. The is in the preparation for the upcoming Asian games where Nepal will be sending women's basketball team to participate.

Nepal Olympic Committee and Nepal Basketball Association jointly bid farewell to the team. Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan bid farewell to the team. Also present on he occasion were Mr. Lama Tendi Sherpa, President of Nepal Basketball Association.
