Nepal got to the winning start of the 3rd SABA Championship. They overcame Maldives in Katmandu. The hosts fired 28 points in the first frame to take a 5-point lead. They stayed in charge throughout the second quarter. Nepal posted a 56:43 halftime lead. The margin grew at 26-point mark at the final intermission. Maldives unleashed 34 points in the fourth frame but could not avoid the defeat.
