Gyan Carnival Basketball: LRI, Gyanodaya Win Title

LRI and host Gyanodaya International Residential School won the boys and girls basketball titles of the Gyan Carnival Basketball tournament. LRI defeated Innovative 84-74 with Raj Kunwars game-high 30 points. Kunwar was judged the most valuable player of the Boys category of the carnival.

In the girls title clash, host Gyanodaya defeated Malpi International 65-33. Gautami Bhattachan, who top scored for Gyanodaya with 20 points in the final, was adjudged the most valuable player.

Gyanadaya School or Lalitpur, Nepal has been organizing the Gyan Carnival basketball annually. The principal of the organizing school along with the Nepal Basketball Association officials gave away prizes to the winners and runners up teams. Total of 24 boys and 16 girls teams participate in the carnival.
