Cambodia earned the seventh place at SEA Games 2011. They held off Myanmar in Jakarta tonight. Oeun Sophoeun (180-F/G-85) scored 34 points to pace the winners.
Cambodia started the game strongly. They erupted for 28 points in the opening quarter taking a 6-point lead after ten minutes. Cambodia limited Myanmar to 12 points in the second term to establish a 43:34 halftime lead. But Myanmar changed the complexion of the encounter in the third term. They cut the deficit to 5 points with one quarter remaining. Myanmar surged ahead 80:78 with under four minutes remaining. But Cambodia crowned the game with six points in a row and stole their first win at the tournament. Mith Pek provided 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Cambodia. Putratana Monh (180-G-81) added 12 points in the win. Chan Chan answered with 21 points for Myanmar. Win Cho tallied 20 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort.
