Malaysia registered the second win at SEA Games 2011. They coasted past Myanmar to take 2-1 record in Group B. Chuan Chin Wee (180-G-84) nailed 20 points to lead the effort.
Malaysia dominated from the opening minutes. They arrived at the first break up by 8 points 24:16. Malaysia unloaded 25 points in the second term to take a 49:36 halftime advantage. They never slowed down after the big break. Malaysia went for 30 points in the third quarter to enlarge their lead to as many as 25 points with one quarter remaining. Malaysia stayed in control in the final period and rallied to a comfortable win at the end. Ban Sin Ooi (180-G/F-83) and John NgYeo Seng had 16 points each for the winners. Kyar Gyi replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Myanmar. Chan Chan had 15 points in the loss.
