SEA Games 2011: Myanmar shock Indonesia in Jakarta

Myanmar celebrated their first ever international win tonight. They prevailed against hosting Indonesia at the start of 2011 SEA Games basketball tournament. Wine Wine stepped up with 32 points to lead an impressive effort from the winners.
It was a tough battle right from the start. Myanmar grabbed a 24:21 lead after ten minutes of action. Indonesia however woke up in the second term. They add aggressiveness to their defence holding the visitors to 12 points. Indonesia thus posted a 42:36 halftime lead. But Myanmar struck back in the third term. They erupted for 30 points in the period to jump to an 11-point advantage with one quarter remaining. Indonesia tried hard to save the game in the fourth frame however Than Than and Ms. Susie nailed four free throws in the dying seconds to seal the victory for Myanmar. Ms. Susie notched 19 points, while Than Than contributed 16 points in the win. Jacklien Ibo (175-F-90) responded with 24 points for Indonesia. Yunita Sugianto (167-PG-87) had 9 points in defeat.
