Miller's 31-point masterclass powers Xac Broncos to historic third straight Mongolian title

Ian Miller (191-G-1991, college: FSU) erupted for 31 points on seven three-pointers as the Xac Broncos demolished Selenge Bodons 89-70 in Game 6 of The League finals at MBank Arena on Friday night, capturing their 10th championship overall and third in succession. The American guard, who was the BCL Asia-East MVP last season, put on a shooting clinic in the clincher, going 12-of-24 from the field — including a scorching 7-of-15 from beyond the arc — while adding three rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes. His performance was the exclamation point on a dominant campaign for the Broncos, who have now won three consecutive domestic titles and four in the last five seasons.
Selenge, who featured former NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins (211-C-1990, college: Kentucky) in their lineup, kept it competitive through the first half. The Bodons trailed just 42-40 at the break after outscoring the Broncos 21-17 in the second quarter to claw back from a 25-19 first-quarter deficit. But the third quarter proved decisive: Khuleguud unleashed a devastating 26-12 blitz that blew the game open at 68-52, and Selenge never threatened again.
Temuulen Chinges (195-SF-2004) was sensational alongside Miller, scoring 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting with two threes and a near-perfect 4-of-5 from the free-throw line, posting a game-best +28 plus-minus. Azbayar Altangerel (202-F-2005), the reigning league Defensive Player of the Year, contributed a dominant double-double of 8 points and 10 rebounds — eight on the defensive glass — along with two assists and two steals. Center Jordi Tshimanga added 9 points on 4-of-6 shooting and three blocks, while veteran playmaker Bilguun Battuvshin (197-SF-1989) chipped in 9 points off the bench on efficient 3-of-4 shooting. As a team, the Broncos shot 50 percent from the field (35-of-70) and 39.3 percent from three (11-of-28), dominating on the boards 48-41 while recording 12 steals and 6 blocks. For Selenge, coached by Heto Xoce, Cousins finished with his contributions from the center position but the Bodons shot just 33.3 percent from the field (24-of-72) and a woeful 19.4 percent from three-point range (7-of-36). Jay Scrubb (198-G/F-2000, college: John A.Logan) led with 13 points but on a miserable 4-of-17 shooting night, going just 1-of-10 from deep. Delgeen Enkhbat added 13 points on more efficient 4-of-8 shooting with 4-of-6 from the line.
The championship extends the Broncos' remarkable dynasty under the Khasiin Khuleguud banner. Founded in 2004 with the backing of XacBank, the club has evolved from a domestic force into a continental powerhouse — they won the inaugural BCL Asia-East title last season with a perfect nine-game sweep and earned a historic bronze medal at the BCL Asia in Dubai. Their dominance this season came while simultaneously competing in both the EASL and BCL Asia-East 2026, a grueling schedule that tested their depth but ultimately could not derail their domestic ambitions.
