MBL Round 22 (Regular Season): Apes are upset by Mongolians

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in MBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Ulaanbaatar between third ranked Apes (17-9) and ninth ranked Mongolians (8-17) on Tuesday night. Apes were defeated by Mongolians in a tough game at home 91-97. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Apes. Newly promoted Mongolians maintains ninth position with 8-17 record. Apes at the other side keep the third place with nine games lost. Mongolians are looking forward to face higher ranked Selenge (#5) in Sukhbaatar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Apes will have a break next round.

Metal lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 18 games lost. Darkhan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Metal will play at home against Falcons (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 22 Miners were crushed by Selenge in Sukhbaatar 88-69. Miners beat Falcons at home 108-90.



Metal - Darkhan 67-88

The game with biggest result difference took place in Ulaanbaatar. Local Metal (7-18) was outscored by eighth ranked United (10-16) 88-67. United maintains eighth position with 10-16 record. Selenge - Miners 88-69

There was a minor upset in Sukhbaatar where their close opponent Miners (14-11) were crushed by fifth ranked Bodons (14-12) 88-69. Bodons maintains fifth position with 14-12 record. Miners at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. Selenge will play against Mongolians (#9) in Ulaanbaatar in the next round. Miners will play on the road against the league's leader Xac Broncos (#1) in Ulaanbaatar and hope to get back on the winning track.

Miners - Falcons 108-90

No shocking result in a game in Erdenet where fifth ranked Miners (14-11) defeated 7th ranked Falcons (10-15) 108-90. Miners moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Falcons keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Miners will play against league's leader Xac Broncos in Ulaanbaatar in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Falcons will play on the road against Metal (#10) in Ulaanbaatar and hope to get back on the winning track.
