Top ranked Apes (7-2) recorded its second loss in Ulaanbaatar on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Metal (4-4) 94-93. Metal made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was who scored 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Christian Bradford (185-1995, college: Radford) chipped in 18 points. Dulguun Ganbaatar produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the guests. Metal have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Metal went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Brothers. Apes at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. Metal is looking forward to face league's second-placed BCH Knights in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Apes will play against Brothers in Uliastai and are hoping to win this game.

Darkhan moved-up to third place. Metal at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Brothers. Darkhan will play against Xac Broncos (#7) in Ulaanbaatar in the next round. Metal will play against the league's second-placed BCH Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Apes delivered the seventh victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Bodons (3-4) 72-58 in Sukhbaatar. Thomas Robinson stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Mike Williams responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Apes maintains first place with 7-2 record. Loser Bodons keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Apes will meet Brothers (#5) in the next round. Selenge will play against Falcons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 5 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Darkhan defeated Mongolians in a road game 92-87. Brothers beat Miners at home 86-80. Falcons lost to Miners on the opponent's court 73-82.

They also forced 19 Mongolians turnovers. American center Marlon Johnson (208-1994, college: NMHU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Anthony Nelson (193-1998, college: Manhattan) chipped in 25 points. Four United players scored in double figures. American guard Byron Wesley (196-1992, college: Gonzaga) responded with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and American-Guamanian center Jonathan Galloway (209-1996, college: UC Irvine, agency: Alti Sport) scored 21 points. United have a solid series of four victories in a row. Darkhan moved-up to third place. Mongolians lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost.
