Gilbert comes back to Selenge

Ahmad Gilbert

BSelenge Bodons Sukhbaatar (MBL) signed 29-year-old American 200cm forward Ahmad Gilbert (college: St. Thomas, FL) for the upcoming season. It marks his return to Bodons, where he has played before. Gilbert most recently played at NXT Era (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. During two TBT games, he averaged 13.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.0spg last season. He last played for Bodons during the previous season.
He is a very experienced player. Gilbert has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played professionally in Finland (Raiders Basket), Iceland (Stjarnan and Hrunamenn), Iraq (Al Hilla), TBL (Tri-State Admirals and Reading Rebels) and The Basketball Tournament (Big 5).
Gilbert's team finished as regular season runner-up in TBL Atlantic Northeast Division in 2024. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Finnish 1st Division A Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from Saint Thomas University in 2020 and it'll be his sixth season in pro basketball. Gilbert played for other colleges like Rider University and the University of Minnesota.
