Apes sign Peter Jok

Peter Jok

IHC Apes (MBL) signed 31-year old South Sudanese international 198cm guard Peter Jok (college: Iowa) for the new season. He is the second import player on the roster, with Indian Princepal Singh joining earlier. Jok was the second-best scorer at Cibona in the Croatian Premijer Liga last season, averaging 13.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.7apg, and 1.0spg in 17 games. He helped the team reach the semifinals and was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Croatian League Honorable Mention and All-Imports Team. Jok also played 19 games in the ABA League, averaging 9.1ppg, 3.0rpg, and 1.1apg. In the previous (2024) summer, he played one game for the Blackjacks (Canada-CEBL), recording 10pts, 4reb, 2ast, and 1 block.
He also represented South Sudan at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 7.7 ppg and had 5 rpg.
Jok is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Canada, France (Cholet Basket and Nantes), Spain (UCAM), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and NAZ Suns), NBA Summer League (Orlando Magic), and The Basketball Tournament (Iowa United).
Jok graduated from the University of Iowa in 2017 and it'll be his 9th season in pro basketball.
