Amazons hold off Cathay Life

Ulaanbaatar Amazons recorded the first victory at the WBLA Group A. They overcame Cathay Life for 1-1 record. Kayleigh Truong (175-G-2001, college: Gonzaga) scored 20 points, while Khulan Onolbaatar (181-F/C-1999, agency: ASE) delivered 19 points for the Mongolian side.
Cathay Life dominated in the first half. The Taiwanese team registered a 48-34 halftime lead. But Ulaanbaatar turned things around in the second half. They exploded with 54 points after the big break and raced to the opening victory.
Ya-En Han finished with 22 points, while Potter Emily (195-C-1995, college: Utah) delivered 19 points for Cathay Life.
