Apes made 33-of-43 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Miners only scored sixteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Miners 48-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. Apes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Miners helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of South Sudanese-Australian center Deng Acuoth (208-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American swingman Kris Clyburn (196-1996, college: UNLV) who added 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Shamorie Ponds (185-1998, college: St.John's) responded with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and international guard Bolor-Erdene Gantsolmon (183-2003) scored 21 points and 8 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
