Apes outrebounded Miners 49-26 including a 34-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Apes made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was international guard Ulzii Myagmarsuren (181-2000) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). American swingman Kris Clyburn (196-1996, college: UNLV) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Shamorie Ponds (185-1998, college: St.John's) who recorded 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and international guard Bolor-Erdene Gantsolmon (183-2003) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively.
