However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Apes. Xac Broncos made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Apes turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Baatar-Erdene Barsbold (-2004) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American swingman Kris Clyburn (196-1996, college: UNLV) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds for Apes. Xac Broncos maintains first place with 19-6 record. Apes at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Xac Broncos are looking forward to face Darkhan (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. At the losing side Haitian forward Jeantal Cylla (201-1996, college: Arkansas) responded with 28 points and 5 assists. Knights moved-up to fourth place. Selenge lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Knights will play against Miners (#5) in Erdenet in the next round. Selenge will play at home against UB TLG and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between third ranked Metal (16-9) and 9th ranked Bizon (6-20) in Ulaanbaatar on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. Metal outscored guests from Nalaikh 117-76. Byron Wesley nailed 27 points and 9 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Justin Moss came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Bison in the defeat. Metal have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Bizon keeps the ninth position with 20 games lost. Metal will meet at home Apes (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bison will play against Darkhan (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last game of round 25 bottom-ranked UB TLG was beaten by Brothers on the road 107-93.
