Best players of Mongolian MBL round 21 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Byron Wesley (196-G-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for BIM Bishrelt Metal Ulaanbaatar and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 32-year old guard had a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat UB TLG (#9, 5-16) 89-78. Metal maintains the 4th position in Mongolian MBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Metal will need more victories to improve their 12-9 record. Wesley turned to be Metal's top player in his first season with the team. Gonzaga University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wesley is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.9ppg) and averages solid 57.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard McKenzie Moore (198-G-1992) of Zavkhan Brothers. Moore impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Brothers lost that game 88-93 to slightly higher-ranked Miners (#7, 10-12). This loss caused Brothers to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Moore is a newcomer at Brothers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Nigerian Maxie Esho (206-F/C-1991) of Erdenet Miners (#7). Esho got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Miners, leading his team to a 93-88 win against slightly lower-ranked Brothers (#8, 9-9). The chances of Miners ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Esho could help Miners to bring them higher in the standings. Esho has a great season in Mongolia. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.4ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 8.1rpg (6th best). He also has 1.3bpg, a FGP of 58.1% and 3PT: 42.9%.

9. Kenny Wooten Jr. (204-F-1998) of UB TLG - 16 points and 11 rebounds
10. Shamorie Ponds (185-G-1998) of Miners - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
