Ponds' 34-point game gives him Player of the Week award

26-year old American guard Shamorie Ponds (185-G-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Erdenet Miners and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 34 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Miners in his team's victory, helping them to beat Brothers (#7, 6-6) 92-85. Miners maintains the 10th position in Mongolian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 11 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Ponds had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Miners' top player in his first season with the team. Shamorie Ponds averages this season 20.8ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Jordan Tolbert (200-F-1992) of top-ranked Xac Broncos Ulaanbaatar. He is American forward in his first season at Xac Broncos. In the last game Tolbert recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Broncos to edge the lower-ranked Apes (#5, 7-6) by 5 points 81-76. Of course Xac Broncos still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 14 matches. Tolbert is a newcomer at Xac Broncos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Justin Moss (203-F/C-1993) of Nalaikh Bison (#9). Moss got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Moss' great performance the Bizon lost 88-96 to the higher-ranked Knights (#3, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bison not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Moss could try to bring Bison's a little bit higher in the standings. Moss has a very solid season. In 6 games in Mongolia he scored 30.0ppg. He also has 8.5rpg and a FGP of 63.0%.
