Best players of Mongolian MBL round 6

American Ahmad Gilbert (200-F-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Selenge Bodons Sukhbaatar and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Selenge in his team's victory, helping them to beat UB TLG (#6, 4-4) 93-84. Bodons maintains the 5th position in Mongolian MBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Selenge will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Gilbert had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Bodons's top player in his first season with the team. Saint Thomas University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gilbert is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.3ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.6rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 3.0spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Tae Hardy (190-G) of Darkhan United. Hardy impressed basketball fans with 41 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course United cruised to a 94-87 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Bison (#7, 3-6). Darkhan's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Hardy is a newcomer at Darkhan and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#7). He also recorded 3.9 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Elijah Thomas (206-F-1996, agency: MSG) of Nalaikh Bison (#7). Thomas got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Thomas' great performance the Bizon lost 87-94 to the higher-ranked Darkhan (#3, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bison not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Thomas could try to bring Bison's a little bit higher in the standings. Thomas has individually a great season in Mongolia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (4th best). He also has 1.6bpg and a FGP of 65.7%.
