Stone number one in Mongolia MBL for round 5

American Diamond Stone (208-C/F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Zavkhan Brothers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 43 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Miners (#11, 1-7) 104-96. Brothers maintains the 8th position in Mongolian MBL. Brothers is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Stone had a remarkable eight three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Brothers' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Maryland star has very solid stats this year. Stone is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.0ppg. Stone is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.7rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg,68.4% FGP and 51.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was another Brothers' star - young American Orlando Johnson (193-G-1989). Johnson had a very good evening with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Zavkhan Brothers to edge slightly higher-ranked UB TLG (#6, 4-4) 106-100. Brothers' 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Johnson is a newcomer at Brothers, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 3.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Elijah Thomas (206-F-1996, agency: MSG) of Nalaikh Bison (#7). Thomas scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Thomas' great performance the Bizon lost 86-91 to the league's current leader Xac Broncos (#1, 7-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bison not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Thomas could try to bring Bison's a little bit higher in the standings. Thomas has individually a great season in Mongolia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.4ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (2nd best).

10. Munkhtur Baasandorj (183-PG) of Brothers - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
