IHC Apes (MBL) signed 31-year old American forward Stephen Hurt (211cm-120kg-1993, college: of Kansas State). He is the second foreign player in the roster as Guamanian Earnest Ross signed here earlier.
He played last season at Pacific Caesar in Indonesian IBL league. In 26 games just recently he had very impressive stats: 19.3ppg, 12.5rpg, 4.9apg and 1.0bpg. He was also named League Player of the Week and named to Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian IBL Second Team. The last season he played at Kanazawa Samuraiz (B3 League) in Japanese league.
He is quite experienced player. Hurt has played in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Ittihad and Samaheej), Finland (Kobrat), Indonesia (CLS Knights), Japan (Watts and Wyverns), Qatar (Al Rayyan), Slovenia (Hopsi Polzela), Turkey (Yalovaspor) and TBL (Syracuse S.).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in TBL Northeast Division in 2022. Hurt was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Honorable Mention back in 2018.
He graduated from of Kansas State in 2016 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player. Hurt played also for Lipscomb University for 2 years.
