Piratas de Los Lagos (Liga Basquet Pro) landed 24-year old American 201cm power forward Jericole Hellems (college: NC State, agency: Green Sports Management) for new season. He moved there from BCH Garid in Mongolian MBL league. In 9 games he averaged 14.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg last season. He also played for GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo in Greek GBL where in 8 MBL games he had 10.8ppg and 2.9rpg.
Two years ago Oklahoma City Blue voted him as fifth overall pick in G-League draft.
Hellems graduated from North Carolina State University in 2022 and it will be his second season in pro basketball.
He has played also professionally in Greece (Promitheas), NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Birmingham Squadron) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Overtime).
Among many awards he won NBA G League Western Conference championship title in 2023. Hellems was selected to All-ACC Honorable Mention back in 2021.
