33-year-old Canadian ex-international 193cm guard Devoe Joseph, who played college basketball at Oregon, has left newly promoted BCH Garid Ulaanbaatar in the Mongolian Basketball League (MBL). In his 20 games in Mongolia, Joseph put up impressive numbers, averaging 18.4 points per game, 4.5 rpg, 2.6 apg, and 2.7 spg this season. He had a good year and was even voted League Player of the Week. In the previous season, Joseph played for KB Peja in the Superliga of the Kosovan league. He played 16 games in the Kosovan Superliga, where he averaged an impressive 15.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.2 apg, and 1.1 spg. Despite finishing the regular season in second place, Joseph helped his team win the Kosovo League title. It was a great year for him, and he was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Kosovo League Third Team.
He attempted to reach the NBA and participated in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He was also a member of the Canadian international program for several years. He played for the Canadian Senior National Team in 2013 and had previously played for the Under 19 National Team in 2007.
Eleven years ago, he represented Canada at the FIBA Americas in Caracas, Venezuela. During that event, his statistics were as follows: 3 games played, 2.7 points per game, and 1.7 rpg.
He has played professionally in Finland (Nokia), France (Cholet Basket), Greece, Israel (Maccabi Kiryat Gat), Kosovo, Montenegro (Buducnost), Poland (WKS Slask and Enea Zastal), Romania (Voluntari), Spain (Joventut), Turkey (Turk Telekom and TEKSUT Bandirma BK), Ukraine (Khimik), and Venezuela (Bucaneros).
He graduated from the University of Oregon in 2012, and this is his twelfth season in professional basketball. He also played for the University of Minnesota for three years.
