Smith number one in Mongolia MBL for round 24 (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Anthony Smith (201-F/C-1997) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked IHC Apes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 37 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat UB TLG (#11, 6-15) 105-97. It allowed Apes to take over top position in the Mongolian MBL. Apes have a solid 18-4 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Apes' top player in his first season with the team. Former Murray State University star has very solid stats this year. Smith is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.4rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 64.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Apes' star - young American Kyree Walker (198-C-2000). Walker had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Smith he helped IHC Apes with another comfortable win 101-85 over the lower-ranked Bison (#6, 11-11) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Apes to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 18 matches. Walker is a newcomer at Apes, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Diamond Stone (208-C/F-1997) of Zavkhan Brothers (#7). Stone got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite Stone's great performance the Brothers lost 70-77 to the higher-ranked Metal (#2, 17-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Brothers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stone could help Brothers to bring them higher in the standings. Stone has a great season in Mongolia. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.8ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.9bpg and a FGP of 50.7%.
