Romania - Mongolia 81-62

Romania edged Mongolia in Chengdu at the start of the World University Games 2023. The European side dominated the while game to end up with an 81-62 win. Romania won the first period 20-9 and led 11 points at the halftime. Moreover, they added a 19-16 run in the third quarter and closed the game with a final 25-20 rally. Emanuel Cate (207-C-1997) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Stefan Grasu (200-F-2003, agency: BIG) poured in 16. Ionut Berceanu (205-C-1998) finished the game with 10 points in a win. Dulguun Gankhuyag (204-C-2003) replied with 15 points in defeat and Sukhbat Batzorig (192-SF-2000) netted 13.
