Ulaanbaatar Amazons win the Finals opener

Ulaanbaatar Amazons - M Garid 73-69

Ulaanbaatar Amazons have won the Finals opener after a long break in Mongolia. They edged M Garid 73-69 to take 1-0 in the series. Trailing 15-21 at the end of the first period, Ulaanbaatar Amazons grabbed a 36-34 halftime advantage. Garid later led 7 points with 10 minutes to go, however could not win the game. The Amazons pushed the tempo for good to seal the win in the opener.
Nandinhusel stepped up with 21 points and Hulan added 19. Shurenceceg replied with 20 points in the losing effort.
