JEFF NEWBERRY

Qatar Sports Club Doha (D1) landed 25-year old American guard Jeff Newberry (188-86kg-92, college: Oklahoma State). He played most recently at Arhangai Altan in Mongolian Superleague. He helped them to win the league title. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian Superleague Player of the Year, Guard of the Year and Import of the Year.
Newberry has played also professionally in NBA G League (Grand Rapids Drive).
He attended Oklahoma State until 2016 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
Newberry is described as: High level combo guard. Great athlete top defender and scorer.

Arhangai advanced to the Finals of the National Play-offs. They overcame Uvurhangai 4-1 in the semifinal series when the closed the series with a 113-109 win. Sanchir Tungalag (190-G-89) top-scored for the winners with 34 points and Jeffrey Allen netted 24.
