American shooting guard De'Quan Abrom (188-SG-1996, college: Belm.Abbey) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 42 points he had in the Malaysian league. Abrom graduated from Belmont Abbey College in 2020. His excellent performance made his team NS Matrix beat the Johor Tigers 107 to 81. He also grabbed 9 rebounds that game. Abrom is the 2nd best scorer in the league averaging almost 20 points and 5 rebounds per game. Among many awards he won the Malaysian MBL championship title in 2024. Abrom was also selected to the Asia-Basket All-ASEAN League Second Team in 2023.
