Penang Sunrise Youngsters sign Frederick Lish, ex TGE- December 6, 2024
He played most recently at Thai General Equipment in Thailand BTL league. In 17 games he just recently played he averaged impressive 24.0ppg, 6.4rpg, 3.9apg and 1.4spg last season. He helped them to make it to the Thailand BTL final after they ended regular season as second best team. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand BTL First Team. The last season he played at Bodons in Mongolian league. He also represented Thailand at the Asian Games in Huangzhou (China) last year. During this event he scored an average of 15.3 points per game and had 3.7 rebounds per game. Lish is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Lish has played previously professionally in Indonesia (CLS Knights), Israel (Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon and ASA Ashkelon) and Mongolia (Brothers). Among many awards his team won Israeli National League Regular Season in 2021. He received Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League Player of the Year award and Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League Import Player of the Year award back in 2020. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Penang Sunrise Youngsters. Lish graduated from University of South Alabama in 2013 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played also for Motlow State College for one year.
