NS Matrix looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American DeQuan Abrom (188-1996, college: Belm.Abbey) scored 27 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Amir Williams (211-1992, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four NS Matrix players scored in double figures. American guard Lamonte Bearden (191-1995, college: WKU) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists and Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (207-1990, college: Millersville) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

American forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Cameron Satterwhite (193-1997, college: Montana) supported him with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 28 points and 9 rebounds by American-Thailand Moses Morgan (198-1992, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for Johor Tigers. International point guard Yee-Tong Heng (180-1998) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the guests. Five Johor Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
