Bearden's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

28-year old American guard Lamonte Bearden (191-G-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for KL Aseel and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He got a double-double of 26 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Rising Star (#5, 5-12) 85-77. KL Aseel maintains the 4th position in Malaysian league. KL Aseel is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-11 record. In the team's last game Bearden had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be KL Aseel's top player in his first season with the team. Lamonte Bearden averages this season 20.5ppg, 6.3rpg and 6.0apg.

Second best performed player last round was Jordan Tolbert (200-F-1992) of Penang Sunrise Youngsters. He is American forward in his first season at Penang SY. Third place about best performers goes to forward Arinze Chidom (206-F-1997) of league's second-best Johor Southern Tigers. Chidom showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Chidom's great performance the Johor Tigers lost 71-73 to #3 ranked Penang SY. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Johor Tigers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 6 lost games. Chidom has a great season in Malaysia. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 10.2rpg (6th best) and assists with 3.5apg (7th best). He also has 3.7spg, 2.3bpg, a FGP of 52.3% and 3PT: 40.9%.
