Chidom's 32-point game gives him Player of the Week award

26-year old American forward Arinze Chidom (206-F-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Johor Southern Tigers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had the game-high 32 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Johor Tigers in his team's victory, helping them to outclass KL Aseel (#5, 1-8) with 26-point margin 95-69. It allowed Johor Tigers to consolidate first place in the Malaysian league. Johor Tigers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Chidom had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Johor Tigers' top player in his first season with the team. University of California Riverside graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chidom is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.6ppg. Chidom is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 10.4rpg), assists (8th best: 3.8apg) and averages solid 2.7bpg,4.3spg,56.8% FGP and 41.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Jordan Tolbert (200-F-1992) of Penang Sunrise Youngsters. He is American forward in his first season at Penang SY. In the last game Tolbert recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Penang SY lost that game 76-89 to slightly higher-ranked NS Matrix (#2, 7-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Penang SY still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Tolbert is a newcomer at Penang SY and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.6ppg (#3). He also registered 14.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Amir Williams (211-C-1992) of league's second-best Negeri Sembilan Matrix. Williams scored 22 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of NS Matrix, leading his team to a 88-63 easy win against #1 ranked Johor Tigers. NS Matrix needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Williams has a great season in Malaysia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.9rpg (4th best).
