Best players of Malaysian MPL round 3

American Arinze Chidom (206-F) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Johor Southern Tigers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The forward had a double-double of 26 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed Rising Star (#4, 2-5) with 16-point margin 78-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Johor Tigers to consolidate first place in the Malaysian MPL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Johor Tigers still have not lost a single game, getting all 7 victories. In the team's last game Chidom had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Johor Tigers' top player in his first season with the team. University of California Riverside graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chidom is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.7ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.7rpg), assists (7th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 3.3bpg,4.9spg and 51.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Guyanese center Anthony Moe (207-C) of KL Aseel. Moe impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as KL Aseel was edged by Penang SY (3-4) 80-76. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Moe is a newcomer at KL Aseel and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.2ppg (#1). He also registered 17.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jordan Tolbert (200-F-1992) of Penang Sunrise Youngsters (#3). Tolbert scored 25 points and grabbed twenty two rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Penang SY, leading his team to a 80-76 win against KL Aseel (#5, 1-6). The chances of Penang SY ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tolbert could help Penang SY to bring them higher in the standings. Tolbert has a great season in Malaysia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 15.3rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.1spg and 1.6bpg.
