The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Tiger (3-1) in Seremban on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by NS Matrix (4-0) 61-52. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tiger. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Tiger 44-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. NS Matrix looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Hui-Pin Pang (176-1990) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Fook-Yee Yap (174-1993) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Pei-Jie Tan (167-1998) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds. Tiger's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NS Matrix have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Tiger at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Selangor. NS Matrix are looking forward to face Selangor (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hoi-Khei Low replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for Putrajaya. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Selangor moved-up to second place, which they share with Tiger. Putrajaya lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost.
