Wong's 27 points and 6 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

27-year old forward Yi-Hou Wong (195-F-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team NS Matrix and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and three assists for NS Matrix in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Penang S. (#3, 2-2) with 81-point margin 132-51. It allowed NS Matrix to consolidate first place in the Malaysian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but NS Matrix already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Wong had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. It's his second year at NS Matrix and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Wong has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.3ppg. Bad luck as Penang SY was edged by slightly higher-ranked Perak Red E. (#2, 4-1) 75-73. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Penang SY still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Goh is well-known at Penang SY and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#3). He also registered 11.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another NS Matrix's star - guard Chun-Hong Ting (193-G-1996). Ting showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of NS Matrix, helping his team with a 132-51 easy win against #3 ranked Penang S.. NS Matrix started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Group A. Ting turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Ting has a great season in Malaysia.
