The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sarawak FH as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sarawak FH smashed bottom-ranked PDRM at home 98-66. Sarawak FH outrebounded PDRM 53-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Hii-Wii Yii who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Chang-Hong Ong chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. Cheng-Wah Chin produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Sarawak FH (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Perak Red E.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Yan-Qing Goh answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for Penang SY. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Perak Red E.. Despite that victory Perak Red E. went down to second position due to points difference. Penang SY at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Perak Red E. will play against league's leader Sarawak FH in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Selangor XXIII and 6th ranked Selection Team had identical 1-3 record. This time Selangor XXIII used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from 72-49 on Thursday night. Selangor XXIII looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists.
