Iran outscored Malaysia 65-59 in Bangkok at the start of the Asia Cup 2023 in Division B. Trailing 17-18 at the end of the first period, Iran needed a 21-13 surge in the second frame to lead 38-31 at the halftime. Moreover, Iran posted a 19-17 rally in the third quarter, whilst Malaysia won the last stanza 11-8.
