Malaysia - Vietnam 94:83

Malaysia clinched 5th place at the SEA Games beating Vietnam 94-83. They opened the game with a 31-23 run and led 6 points at the halftime. Malaysia won the third quarter 20-14, whilst Vietnam closed the game with a 20-19 rally.
Yi-Hou Wong (195-F-1996) top-scored for the winners with 25 points and Zi-Fueng Chang (196-PF-1997) nailed 15. Tam Dinh Thanh (192-SG-1990) answered with 22 points in defeat.
