Malaysia narrowly overcame Vietnam 76-72 at the SEA Games 2023. They opened the game with a 14-11 run and added a 17-16 rally in the second period. Both teams later scored 21 points each in the third quarter, whilst nailed another 24 both in the last stanza.
Kalaimathi Rajintiran (185-C-1990) stepped up with 22 points and Yin Yin Chong (166-G-1993) netted 16. My Truong Thao (2001) answered with 18 points in the losing effort.
