Zhen-Jie Tem
24-year old guard Zhen-Jie Tem (177-G-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for KL Aseel and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for KL Aseel in his team's victory, helping them to crush Pegasus (#6, 2-9) with 18-point margin 91-73. KL Aseel maintains the 4th position in Malaysian league. KL Aseel is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-7 record. In the team's last game Tem had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Zhen-Jie Tem averages this season 11.1ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Zhong-Han Wong (186-G-1997) of Adroit. He is Singapore guard in his first season at Adroit. In the last game Wong recorded impressive 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Adroit to edge slightly higher-ranked NS Matrix (#2, 7-3) by 5 points 93-88. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Adroit consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 7-5 record is not bad at all. Wong is a newcomer at Adroit and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Tevin Glass (206-F-1994, agency: BIG) of league's leader Johor Tigers. Glass showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, sixteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Johor Tigers, leading his team to a 100-70 easy win against the lower-ranked Penang SY (#5, 4-8). Many experts and fans count Johor Tigers as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Glass has a great season in Malaysia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.6ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 15.1rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.8apg (5th best). He also has 2.3spg and 1.1bpg.
