Best players of Malaysian MBL round 6

American Tevin Glass (206-F-1994, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Johor Tigers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 28-year old forward had a double-double of 38 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team beat Pegasus (#6, 2-7) 101-88. It allowed Johor Tigers to consolidate first place in the Malaysian MBL. Johor Tigers have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Glass had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Johor Tigers' top player in his first season with the team. East Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Glass is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.9ppg. Glass is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 14.5rpg), assists (5th best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 2.1spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Australian Jean-Luc Morel of Penang SY. Morel impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as Penang SY lost that game 89-98 to slightly higher-ranked NS Matrix (#2, 6-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Penang SY still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Morel is a newcomer at Penang SY and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.1ppg (#8). He also registered 15.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international Chun-Hong Ting (193-C/F-1996) of second-ranked NS Matrix. Ting got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of NS Matrix, leading his team to a 98-89 win against #4 ranked Penang SY. NS Matrix needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Ting has a great season in Malaysia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 9.4rpg (6th best). He also has 2.1spg and FGP: 65.4%.
