Garcia number one in Malaysia MBL for round 5

Costa Rican-Belizean Power forward Charles Garcia (204-PF-1988) had a very impressive game in the last round for Adroit, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 37 points and 16 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Johor Tigers (#1, 6-1) 101-102. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Adroit moved-up to the 3rd position in Malaysian MBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Adroit will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable 56.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Adroit's top player in his first season with the team. Former Seattle University star has very solid stats this year. Garcia is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.4ppg), rebounds (4th best: 13.9rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Australian Jean-Luc Morel of Penang SY. Morel had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Penang SY to edge slightly lower-ranked Pegasus (#6, 2-6) 78-74. Penang SY's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Morel is a newcomer at Penang SY, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tevin Glass (206-F-1994, agency: BIG) of league's top team Johor Tigers. Glass scored 28 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Johor Tigers, leading his team to a 102-101 win against #3 ranked Adroit in a game of the week. Johor Tigers confirms their top position in the standings. Glass has a great season in Malaysia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.3ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 14.1rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.3apg (5th best). He also has 2.1spg and 1.4bpg.
