Brunei win 4th place in Macau basketball tournament

BRUNEI veteran basketball team failed to defend their title and had to settle for the fourth place in the 2014 Macau International Chinese Invitational Basketball Tournament held last week. Playing on a new rule of continuous three quarters with no rest, the Brunei veteran team found themselves running out of steam in both their matches. Brunei veteran team first was defeated by Guang Zhou team 50-41 and then suffered another loss on the hands of Chu Hai China 71-43. According to Captain Khoo Eng Cheong of Brunei team, The matches were tough for our team. We didnt know the set of rules changed and the players couldnt cope. In addition, he said, Some plays were quite rough and three of our players, including myself, were injured in the first match.
