China edge Macau in Day 5 opener of the Fiba Asia Cup in Tokyo. The Chinese team improved to 3-1 record after 106:46 win.
China started the game with 24-17 and added 23-13 in the second frame. The second half was a nightmare for Macau that saw 59 points in their basket. China won the third period 32-9 and finished the game with 27-7 in the last stanza. Duan JiangPeng (197-F-90) was the last to score in the game for 60-point victory.
Yan Cao (196-F-91) top-scored for the winners with 16 points, while Wang Zhelin (215-PF-94), Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) and Duan JiangPeng had 13 each. Zhao TaiLong (193-G/F-90) poured in 12 points in the winning effort. Fu In LAO replied with 12 points in the losing case and Ka Kin Iong (170-PG-87) as well as Hip Meng Lo (185-SF-93) nailed 9 apiece.
