Philippines smashed Macau in Fiba Asia Cup in Tokyo. The team improved to 3-1 record in Group A after 98:46 victory, while Macau fell at 0-3 record.
Philippines started the game with massive 33:14 burst and added 22-19 in the second period. Moreover the second half also belonged to the winning side. Philippines won the third period 28-8 and finished the game with 15-5.
Jeffrei Chan (192-F-83) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Jay-R Reyes (200-C-84) as well as Gary David (188-G/F-78) had 12 each. Matt Ganuelas (195-F-90) and Jared Dillinger (191-G/F-84, college: Hawaii) delivered 11 points each in a win. Fu In (178-SG-88) posted 14 points in the losing effort and Tong Fai Cheong (190-PG-93) scored 12. Hip Meng Lo (185-SF-93) collected 10 points and 12 rebounds, whilst Shao Bing Cai (191-PG-92) nailed 6.
Tomorrow Philippines will have a Day-off, while Macau will face China.
